FaZe takes down Monte
FaZe took on Monte in the ESL Pro League Season 19 Playoffs Round 1 game with FaZe looking to continue their strong CS2 run.
The series started on Monte's pick of Vertigo and after a 9-3 defensive half from karrigan and co., rain showcased his clinical headshot abilities on the T side to see FaZe lock in a 13-7 win to kick off the series.
Monte punished a sloppy FaZe, to get Nuke underway with an 8-4 lead. While FaZe fought back on their CT side to take the game to overtime it was DemQQ making sure Monte kept themselves alive in the series powering up with 33 kills to secure a 16-14 win for the Ukrainians.
FaZe started the series decider on Mirage with an 8-4 lead thanks to a couple of low-buy round wins. broky's AWP made sure FaZe weren't going home early as 31 kills from the Latvian saw FaZe close out Mirage 13-10 to pick up the series 2-1.
