ESL reveals another IEM 2027 location

Through a post on X, ESL has revealed additional information of their fourth S-tier event of 2027. ESL had blocked dates from 3rd to 9th May in the 2027 event calendar for their final event in the first season of the year and has just announced the location of the event through a blogpost. ESL's $1,000,000 USD event in May 2027 sees IEM returning to Brazil.

IEM Brazil 2027 will see sixteen teams in the group stage across two groups in double-elimination brackets. An eight-team single-elimination bracket with a best-of-five grand-final crowns the winner after playing out a third-place decider. The city in which the event will take place is yet to be announced. IEM Brazil 2027 will come as the penultimate S-tier event before the FiReMAJOR Buenos Aires 2027 and ESL's last event in the first season of the year.
