AMD FragFest 2026 CS2 City Cafe Semi-finals: Recap

The semi-finals of the AMD FragFest 2026 City Cafe have come to an end as the opening day of the LAN section of the event saw the four teams battle it out in Bengaluru for a place in the final. The two semi-finals were BO1 encounters with Cloud 9 Gaming and Rossi's Colosseum booking a place in the final.

Here's a quick look at how the semi-final games went.

SEMI-FINAL 1 - TEAM GOAT Gaming 13 - 16 TEAM CLOUD9 (OVERPASS)

The first semi-final was between Team Cloud9 and Team GOAT Gaming with the latter kicking off the BO1 action on Overpass with the T pistol and managed to hold on against a scary upgraded pistol buy from Cloud9. A quad kill from dancing rose in the opening gun round saw Cloud9 shut down a B hit to get on the board. A smoke push from Destroyer at Long saw him his eventual ace help GOAT Gaming answer back immediately.

After a short tech-pause, the action resumed with GOAT Gaming heading to the B site again and it was a DSN 1v3 to see Goat continue their T side prowess. While the guns couldn't get the job done, it were the Deagles of Joyboy on A site that saw Cloud9 put up their second round. The trade of rounds continued as Extreme denied Joyboy a 1v2 to secure GOAT Gaming's sixth T round. After seeing off a nervy round against only pistols, Cloud9 managed to salvage the half and end their CT half with six rounds thanks to a Joyboy 1v3 retake on the B site in the final round of the half to tie up the score at 6-6.

A quick A hit from Cloud9 saw them convert a flawless pistol to even out the pistols on Overpass. A Skull 1v2 saw GOAT Gaming secure the opening gun round of the half. A back and forth trade of rounds saw Cloud9 tie up the score before GOAT Gaming hit double digits first. Multi-kill rounds from Crimemaster Go Go, Bomber and dancing rose kept Cloud9 in the game as they tied up the score once again at 11-11 but it was eX1reme denying Bomber a 1v2 on the B site to see GOAT Gaming hit match point first. A chaotic A-site execute saw a big triple kill from Bomber push Overpass to overtime. A triple from Crimemaster Go Go and a clutch from Joyboy helped Cloud9 put up two T rounds to kick off overtime. A clean hold on their CT side saw Cloud9 close out the game at 16-13 to move into the final. Bomber topped the scoresheet for Cloud9 with 32 kills and a 1.58 rating which held his team turn around things from being 9-11 down to steal the win in overtime.

SEMI-FINAL 2 - COLOSSEUM ESPORTS 13 - 8 DSD (DUST2)

The second semi-final between Rossi's Colosseum Esports and DSD headed to Dust2 with IBee's double on the A-site shutdown handing DSD the CT pistol. DSD kept it clean against the pistols but it was a mid-to-B split in the first gun round from Colosseum that got them on the board to get their T side going. Colosseum went on to take the lead and along with some clean hits and crucial 1v1 clutches, Rossi and co. won out the half early on with seven T rounds in a row. After seven in a row, a triple modown from craze at Long finally gave DSD some momentum as they picked up their third CT rounds and the close round losses meant that DSD kept Colosseum's economy in check which helped DSD salvage the half with five CT rounds.

A quick B site shutdown from Rossi and RaVaNaa saw Colosseum pick up their CT pistol. A collateral from crush's AWP saw Colosseum pick up the first gun round of the second half, shutting down an A split and hit double digits instantly. A big pistol round win with the Tec-9s pf Shadowxps and Zee saw DSD steal their first T round and they brought it to a two round game before Rossi had mid on shutdown with a big triple kill that got Colosseum's 11th on the board. A quad kill from Lucia put Colosseum on match point and Rossi and co. closed things out quickly at 13-8. crush and Discountkiller topped the scoreboard for Colosseum Esports on Dust2 with 23 and 20 kills respectively.

With the semi-finals wrapped up, the action moves to the grand final, which will take place tomorrow and will be a BO3 encounter. The LAN action is taking place in Bengaluru at Princess Shrine.
