AMD FragFest 2026 Qualifiers 2 & 3: Recap
The second and third LAN qualifiers of AMD FragFest 2026 has come to a close. The qualifiers took place at Cloud9 Gaming and G.O.A.T gaming, Bengaluru over the weekend and eight teams had registered for the tournament. Both single-elimination brackets had their fair of no-shows, giving multiple teams free wins in the opening round. Here's a quick recap of the qualifiers that took place over the weekend.
Cloud9 Gaming LAN qualifier
Rogue Esports, Quantum Zero and Void Leviathan were handed free wins in the opening round as Pani Pani, Solar Phoenix and Apex Overdrive did not show up for their matches on time. The only match in the opening round saw ENDGAME take on Neon Pulse and the latter recovered from a shaky start to win the best-of-one 13-8 to move forward.
Quantum Zero and Void Leviathan who were handed byes in the opening round, locked horns in the semi-finals. Void Leviathan conceded a 7-13 defeat to end their run in the semi-final as Quantum Zero booked their grand-final, standing just a single best-of-three win away from a main event slot. On the other side of the bracket, ENDGAME continued their winning ways, taking down Rogue Esports 13-4.
ENDGAME took on Quantum Zero in the best-of-three grand-final as the former took nine rounds to open their account on the CT-side of Mirage. ENDGAME converted their 10-2 lead into a 13-2 win to take a 1-0 lead in the grand-final. A failed anti-eco conversion costed Quantum Zero dearly on Dust2, as ENDGAME secured a big 9-3 lead on the T-side and converted it into a 13-4 win, wrapping the series 2-0 and advancing to the main event.
G.O.A.T Gaming LAN qualifier
The bracket at G.O.A.T Gaming Cafe qualifier was marginally better populated with just two byes in the opening round. Extreme Legacy and Anonymous- the only two teams were handed byes in the opening round, clashed in the semi-final. Extreme Legacy made short work of their opponents, fetching themself a comfortable 13-3 win in the semi-final and a grand-final spot.
Rogue Esports and cloud9-1 tried their hand again from a different venue after failed campaigns at earlier qualifiers. While the latter cleared the opening round, Rogue Esports suffered a 7-13 defeat in the opening round. cloud9-1's run didn't go any deeper as Team alpha handed them a 6-13 loss in the semi-final to setup a grand-final clash against Extreme Legacy.
The grand-final began on Ancient where Team Alpha secured pistol and anti-eco conversions on the CT-side. However, Extreme Legacy dominated in the gun rounds and carried their momentum into the next half to close Ancient 13-5. Inferno was a much more competitive affair as Team Alpha tied things up at 7-7. Extreme Legacy gained much needed momentum towards the end to secure Inferno 13-9 and win the grand-final 2-0.
