ESL release ridiculous Vitality skit ahead of Cologne playoffs

With the group stage of IEM Cologne 2026 done, the first Major of 2026 and the first in Counter-Strike's Cathedral in ten years gears up for the playoffs. All three stages of the IEM Cologne 2026 Major so far has been filled with competition and tension. Even the favorites have had their wings clipped briefly, before recovering.

Ahead of the playoffs, ESL has eased the tension with a ridiculous skit featuring Vitality. Vitality have been on a rampage over the last year and a half, winning nearly everything in their path including back to back Majors. With ZywOo at the forefront of Vitality's firepower, apEX and co. are widely seen as one of Counter-Strike's most feared teams in recent times but in ESL's latest skit, the playing field is levelled by handing Vitality a series of nerfs across different maps.

From getting hit with a lightning on Overpass to receiving a motorboat borne drive-by on Ancient which suddenly has a pool of water in mid for some reason, Vitality were subject to numerous fictional nerfs. After a power-cut on Nuke and a literal tornado on Dust2, apEX finally let out a sigh of relief on sunny Mirage, before diving into his demise in mid. Check out ESL's full skit here:
