IEM Cologne Major 2026 Stage 3 Day 4: Recap

As the penultimate day's action wrapped up at the IEM Cologne Major 2026 Stage 3, we saw three more Playoff teams lock in their place at the top eight while three more teams were sent home from Cologne Major. The only Asian representatives, The MongolZ, meanwhile kept themselves alive for another day.

The MongolZ fight on; MOUZ stunned

The MongolZ face Monte in the opening elimination game of the day and after going down on the opening map, it was a reverse sweep from The MongolZ with 910 and cobrazera stepping up to see The MongolZ stay alive at the Major.

On the other side, it was MOUZ fighting for their tournament lives against FUT and it was FUT continuing to impress as dziugss power FUT to a 2-1 win to see FUT survive at the expense of MOUZ.

Moving to the qualification games, Aurora wasted no time in getting past 9z in straight maps with soulfly and woxic having big performances. After a shock loss to 9z which denied them a flawless path to the Playoffs, Vitality resumed normal service with ZywOo's 1.66 rating seeing them make Playoffs with a 3-1 record after a 2-0 win over BetBoom.
