EWC 2026 Last Chance Qualifiers announced

CS2 LCQ begins on 7th August

Esports World Cup 2026 will host Last Chance Qualifiers across several titles on LAN. Among the titles featured in these LCQs are Counter-Strike 2, Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6, Rocket League and a few others. Last Chance Qualifiers kick off on 5th July and will conclude on 10th August. The Counter-Strike 2 part of the circuit will take place between 7th and 9th August 2026.

The registrations for Counter-Strike 2's Last Chance Qualifier is currently open on FACEIT with a rank threshold of level 10 on the platform. The qualifier is open to teams from all countries as long as they field level 10s across the board. Teams registering for the qualifier will have to check-in physically at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Paris, France, an hour before the event.

The tournament will host a maximum of 128 teams and will split them into equal groups for the double-elimination group stage. Top four teams from each group will advance to the playoffs and a single-elimination bracket playoffs from which the top four confirms their Esports World Cup 2026 slots.

Carrying a combined prize pool of over $75,000,000 USD, the Esports World Cup will still hold the same dates in the calendar while making slight changes to schedules of individual tournaments. The event is set to run for seven weeks, hosting tournaments across 20+ esports titles. The Counter-Strike 2 tournament is scheduled for the final two weeks between 12th and 23rd August with a massive $2,000,000 USD prize pool.
