AMD FragFest 2026 Qualifier 4: Recap
The fourth and final LAN qualifier of AMD FragFest 2026 took place in DSD Premium Cafe and came a close yesterday. A total of eight teams had registered the open qualifier out of which a handful did not show up as the Ro8 handed byes across the board. The semi-finals too had a no-show from Team Alphe as Retaliation made grand-finals without playing a single map.
Rogue Esports had a second go after a failed campaign at Cloud9 Gaming Cafe's LAN qualifier and suffered a similar fate. Team Blaze dropped just a couple of rounds in their best-of-one against Rogue Esports in the semi-final to secure a 13-2 win and advance to the grand-final.

Retaliation 2 - 0 Team Blaze (Grand-final)
Retaliation played their first map of the qualifier in the grand-final and began with pistol and anti-eco conversions on the CT-side of Dust2. Team Blaze bounced back with a string of gun rounds to steal the lead momentarily but Retaliation still managed to get away with a 7-5 lead at halftime. Dropping just a single round in the second half, Retaliation closed Dust2 13-6 to take the lead in the best-of-three grand-final.
Things went from bad to worse for Team Blaze on Mirage as Retaliation came out all guns blazing on the T-side. Team Blaze just could not contain Retaliation's T-side, as the latter secured a colossal 11-1 lead. Pistol and anti-eco wins on their CT-side closed the deal for Retaliation, fetching them a 13-1 win on Mirage and a 2-0 series win.
