Players with Major wins in both- CS:GO and CS2
Counter-Strike has been giving us electrifying matches, storylines and rivalries at the highest competitive level for well over a decade now. With the release of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the game got its own version of the World Cup- the Major, a tournament that holds way more importance and reputation than other tier-1 events.
Starting from 2013, twenty-four Majors have been hosted so far. Nineteen Majors were played out during the Global Offensive era and five after Counter-Strike 2 came out. However, only five players have had the honor of lifting Major trophies across both iterations of the game. Here we take a look at players who have won Majors in both- Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Counter-Strike 2, starting from the ones that have lifted the most number of Major trophies overall.
apEX
Topping the list is Vitality's in-game leader apEX with a couple of Major trophies under his belt across both iterations of the game. The Frenchman holds the most impressive portfolio in this list with his maiden and latest Majors having a massive 10-year gap. apEX won his first Major at DreamHack Cluj-Napoca 2015 and went radio silent for eight years before leading Vitality to a home Major win at BLAST.tv Paris 2023 where ZywOo secured his first Major title.
While Vitality took their time to get going in Counter-Strike 2, their fortunes changed when ropz transferred over from FaZe in in early 2025. Vitality posted a near flawless first season as apEX bagged his third Major trophy at BLAST.tv Austin 2025. After a shaky start to the second season, Vitality delivered where it mattered the most, fetching themself another Major title at StarLadder Budapest 2025, netting apEX his third Major win. apEX nearly led Vitality to a hattrick of Majors but fell to Falcons in the quarter-finals of IEM Cologne 2026.
Here are all of apEX's Major wins:

ZywOo &
ropz
Next in line are two of Vitality's hardest hitters- ZywOo and ropz. With one of the world's best closer in ropz added to apEX's arsenal, Vitality's firepower increased monumentally and it reflected during their consecutive Majors run in 2025. ropz's Global Offensive Major win came under karrigan at FaZe during PGL Antwerp 2022. FaZe got off to a stellar start in Counter-Strike 2 but could not convert it into Major wins.
The ZywOo-ropz duo fired on all cylinders in Vitality, propelling the team to consecutive Major wins in 2025. ZywOo has bagged three Counter-Strike Majors so far and has been awarded the Major MVP on all three occasions. Alongside karrigan, ropz also holds the record for the most grand-final appearances at Counter-Strike 2 Majors (4).
Here are all of ZywOo's Major wins:
-
BLAST.tv Paris 2023 (CS:GO)
-
BLAST.tv Austin 2025 (CS2)
-
StarLadder Budapest 2025 (CS2)

karrigan
karrigan, who led Falcons to a win at the recently concluded IEM Cologne 2026 Major also holds Major titles across both iterations of the game. His maiden Major win came at PGL Antwerp 2022 when all the odds were stacked against them. s1mple had just secured his first Major win at PGL Stockholm 2021 and was back to defend his crown with NAVI at Antwerp. An in-from s1mple dragged NAVI into the grand-final but karrigan denied s1mple his second Major to earn his maiden Major win.
karrigan took the scenic route to his second and most recent Major win at IEM Cologne 2026. The Danish in-game leader was out of Major contention with FaZe dropping out of the IEM Cologne 2026 invites range and many termed this time period as "karrigan's worst". In a shocking move, he jumped ship to join Falcons and sail into the Major. On a surface level karrigan seemed to have solved many of Falcons' problems in the early stages of the Major. In the blink of an eye, karrigan- who wasn't even supposed to be at the Major had now cleared one of the hardest playoffs brackets, taking down prime Vitality, Spirit and FURIA to secure a second Major title as NiKo secured his ever-elusive Major win.
Here are all of karrigan's Major wins:
-
PGL Antwerp 2022 (CS:GO)
-
IEM Cologne 2026 (CS2)
b1t
b1t came out all guns blazing in 2021, when he was picked up by NAVI and turned heads with his incredibly sharp mechanics. At 19, b1t showed ice-cold composure even on the biggest of stages, under immense pressure. Sharing the server with players like s1mple and electroNic, b1t delivered astonishingly well on an individual level. A rookie year speed-run, netted b1t his first Major win at PGL Stockholm 2021 where s1mple ended his Major draught.
NAVI underwent a significant overhaul when s1mple stepped away from the game after Global Offensive went offline for Counter-Strike 2 with b1t standing as the only retained player. While the community argued over who would win the Major- FaZe or Spirit, NAVI pulled the rug and stunned the world with a title win at the first ever Counter-Strike 2 Major.
Here are all of b1t's Major wins:
-
PGL Stockholm 2022 (CS:GO)
-
PGL Copenhagen 2024 (CS2)
