CS2's latest changes to Inferno, Overpass and Train
In a substantial update earlier this week, Counter-Strike 2 received a massive animation overhaul related to first-person weapon animations. The deagle, AK, M4, AWP and shotguns were the most reworked ones. Alongside these animation changes, Valve made some changes to Inferno, Train and Overpass. Here we take a quick look at what these changes are and how they might affect gameplay.
-
Starting on Overpass, the truck on A-site gets translated slightly to change the way angles are held from the position across the site. The wall behind dumpster gets raised, minimizing boost angles, the grass on A-site's park area gets trimmed to improve visibility and wires are back across the map, making a number of nade lineups easier.

-
Inferno gets a cleanup on B-site, de-cluttering the coffins area. The windows above church are opened up, allowing nades to be thrown from inside for retakes or post-plants. The railings on A-site balcony are back, making the apts-pop and lurks are bit more challenging. First oranges on B gets a step-up elevation arrangement allowing players to climb up, creating a new pathing for T-side entries.

-
Train gets the most substantial map changes, with new boxes added near Ivy train, B-upper halls and behind oil train. These boxes obstruct vision, provide cover and completely change how Ts route into sites and how CTs retake the sites.
