Legion fight past WahWah; Big W crash out in the semis at PixelPalace 5v5 Community Cup
The semi-finals of the PixelPalace 5v5 Community Cup is done as the finalists have been confirmed with the only remaining Indian team, Big W, crashing out in the semi-finals. Big W went down to Come Mid while Legion took down WahWah to set up an all-Pakistan clash for the finals.
Here is a quick look at the semi-finals' result:
Legion 2 - 1
WahWah
The first semi-final was the all Pakistan encounter between WahWah and Legion. The opening map of the series headed to Dust2 which immediately saw the action head over to overtime with Legion picking up a 16-12 win. WahWah answered back with a big win on Mirage as sadbutrue and bullettt powered WahWah to a 13-6 win to tie up the series.
The decider on Inferno was another tight affair before the PokemoN show handed Legion a 13-9 win to take the series 2-1 and make their way to the final.
Big W 0 - 2
Come Mid
The opening map of Ancient was all Come Mid as they raced away to a 12-4 lead before an incredible comeback from the Indian squad. Big W pulled it to overtime and threatened to stick the comeback before Come Mid managed to hold on for a 19-16 win to avoid an embarrassing choke. It was another slow start for the Indian squad on Nuke and a late reV3nnnn clutch saw Big W finish their CT side with four rounds to keep themselves in the match. It was near-flawless from Come Mid on their CT half as soulM8's 20 kill performance saw the Pakistani team lock in a comfortable 13-5 win to wrap up the series in two.
Come Mid and Legion sees themselves make their way to an all-Pakistani final, which will be a BO5 encounter. Big W's tournament though isn't over, as the Indian team will take on WahWah in the third place game.
The third place game will take place at 18:00 IST on January 12, 2026 while the final is scheduled for 21:00 IST on January 12, 2026. Both the matches will be streamed live on PixelPalace's Twitch channel.
With a prize pool of $4000 up for grabs, the winner will walk away with a prize money of $2500 while the runner up will take home $1000. A third place decider being there means that there is prize money to be won for the two teams as well as the team finishing third will net a prize money of $500.
