m0NESY makes fourth consecutive appearance in the HLTV Top 20 ranking list with #4 in 2025
Despite a trophy-less season for him personally, Falcons' star AWP-er m0NESY has made the HLTV Top 20 Players of the Year list as the Russian star has been revealed as #4 on the HLTV Top 20 Players of 2025. It is also his fourth consecutive Top 20 appearance, having made the list every year since his debut in competitive play in 2022. His fourth place in 2025 also sees him equal his second highest placing in the HLTV Top 20 lists, equaling that in he received in 2023.
m0NESY, who was the second best player in the HLTV Top 20 Players of 2024 list, kicked off 2025 with G2 as he took up the role of the team's talisman as NiKo had moved to Falcons. After four disappointing months with G2, m0NESY made the impending move to Falcons but that did not bring out any silverware. G2 and Falcons, both of whom won 1 LAN trophy in 2025, won them without m0NESY. The Russian AWP-er though, had another strong year, putting up an impressive 1.25 rating.
m0NESY, individually, had a consistent year, despite the results not showing as he put up rating of 1.00 and above in each of the events he played in, in 2025. He kicked off the year with an impressive 1.43 rating in the BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 1 Finals, where G2 finished 3-4th. While there was a dip in form at IEM Katowice 2025, where he put up a 1.00 rating, his lowest of the year, he bounced back instantly with a 1.42 rating at ESL Pro League Season 21. His final event with G2 was the PGL Bucharest 2025, where G2 went down to Falcons in the final, and m0NESY put in another strong performance at 1.28.
His debut event with Falcons was the thrilling IEM Melbourne 2025, and while Falcons fumbled to Vitality in the final, m0NESY had another strong event with a 1.23 rating on debut for his new team. While the Falcons fell short of the trophy on multiple occasions, m0NESY input did not reduce. He had a poor BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, where his 1.05 rating meant that Falcons were eliminated in Stage 2, despite being one of the tournament favourites. He returned to form at the Esports World Cup 2025, with a 1.30 rating that saw Falcons finish third. He closed out the year with a strong 1.42 rating at BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 2, where Falcons once again went down in the finals, this time to FURIA and his final event of the year was the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, where he put up a 1.14 rating as the Falcons were eliminated in the quarter-finals.
While Falcons weren't able to lift any trophies, it didn't mean m0NESY himself went home empty-handed as the Russian AWP-er picked up two MVP awards in 2025, that in ESL Pro League Season 22 and at the BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 2. He also got EVP Awards for ESL Pro League Season 21, IEM Melbourne 2025, IEM Dallas 2025, PGL Bucharest 2025 and BLAST Rivals 2025 Season 1.
For his Bold prediction, picking a player who he expects to break into the scene soon, m0NESY picked 15-year Ukrainian rifler r0se, who is a member of the B8 Academy.
