9z eliminate TYLOO from XSE Pro League 2026
In the first quarter-final of the XSE Pro League 2026, home team TYLOO took on 9z who made a deep run in the recently concluded IEM Cologne 2026 Major. The only remaining home team, TYLOO, were unable to rise to the occasion in front of their home crowd as the South American squad ended TYLOO's campaign in the quarter-finals.
The series started on Nuke where TYLOO recovered from a 0-3 deficit to secure a marginal 7-5 lead at half time. The Chinese side just could not break through 9z's CT-side, managing to win just two T-side rounds and concede the opening map 9-13. With a 1-0 lead on their side, 9z started Mirage with CT pistol, anti-eco and bonus conversions but TYLOO once again recovered and strung up just enough rounds to stay afloat, splitting the first half 6-6. Mercury and Zero put up CT-side ratings in excess of 1.90 to propel TYLOO to a 7-1 second half and a 13-7 win on Mirage to level the series at 1-1.
The decider took us to where TYLOO fell flat after a good start on the CT-side. dgt and HUASOPEEK put up consecutive multi-frag rounds to secure a series winning 8-4 lead for 9z. The South-American squad dropped the pistol round in the second half but stole the anti-eco, crushing TYLOO's economy and ending all comeback hopes.
9z closed Inferno 13-5, dropping just a single round in the second half to wrap the series 2-1. HUASOPEEK and dgt posted more than 40 frags a piece across three maps, as 9z took down TYLOO in the quarter-final and advanced to the semis where they either face Alliance or Nemesis.
