FACEIT to continue with Elo reset in Season 9

Through a post on X, FACEIT has announced that they will continue soft Elo reset in the upcoming Season 9. Season 8 of FACEIT began towards the end of April after a massive ban wave. The eight season came with a number of quality of life and security requirements updates along with a soft Elo reset to more accurately distribute players across skill levels.

Season 8 of FACEIT will end on 4th August 2026 and the Season 9 will begin on the next day. Players will temporarily have their Elo hidden and the soft reset will conclude once the player has played 10 matches in the new season.

"Your Season 8 activity is a key factor in the upcoming reset, so every match you play now helps reduce it.", says FACEIT on X, to conclude their post. Yesterday, FACEIT officially took Overpass out of the map pool and replaced it with Cache.
