The XSE Pro League drama continues
After two days of play, XSE Pro League 2026 unfortunately has not yet returned to normalcy. Comparatively shorter delays is probably the biggest win the tournament organizer can walk away with at this point. After pushing games all the way back till 02:00 AM local time on the opening day, XSE Pro League 2026 was plagued with more delays and tech issues on day 2.
Some questionable stuff has surfaced on social media. BetBoom's Magnojez posted a video on Telegram supposedly showing results of an antivirus scan on his PC. Magnojez briefly shows his screen, revealing files names as spyware and trojan. The BetBoom star allegedly lost access to his account after logging into XSE's PC hours before the tournament began.
Another player from BetBoom faced similar issues. zorte too, took to Telegram mentioning that his PC had remote access trojans (RATs), World of Warcraft, Torrents and other stuff installed. He also claimed that players were asked play official games on their practice PCs due to SSD issues with XSE's tournament computers. "I played on a PC with a Trojan virus, World of Warcraft 3.3.5a, Torrent, AntiVirus. But we won anyways" said zorte on his Telegram channel.
However, things did not end there. At 1-3 during 9z's game against SINNERS, a transformer blew up outside the venue, cutting all power and suspending play for a substantial amount of time. While fans flooded Chinese social media with sharp criticism towards the tournament organizer, the production barely showed signs of improvement from the first day. The broadcast still played multiple audio tracks over each other, observers consistently missed important plays and bots continued to spam the live chat.
The community was quick to term the event as one of the worst in recent times and potentially one of the worst of all time, if the conditions don't improve. Day 3 is showing slight signs of improvement with comparatively shorter delays.
