BestFive Masters 1 announced

"Experience a similar format to Major": Tournament Organizer

Japanese tournament organizer, BestFive has announced an online tournament that will closely mimic the format of Counter-Strike Majors. BestFive Masters 1, with a prize pool of $500 USD are set to host a 24-team tournament with two Swiss system group stages and an eight-team single-elimination bracket playoffs.

we aim to give teams and players from the Japanese and Korean CS communities a taste of the tournament close to Major.

The registrations for the tournament are currently open and will accept a maximum of 24 teams. In case the number of entries exceed this number, the tournament organizer will prioritize earlier registrations and will hand out slots to teams next in line if any of the confirmed teams withdraw or forfeit their slot. The registrations are restricted to teams from Japan and Korea, here's how you can register:

The tournament organizer has also announced that the event will have community Pick'Ems before each stage and correct predictions are rewarded with in-game weapon skins.
