Aurora headed to India

As the Skyesports Championship 5.0 EU Closed Qualifier reached its conclusion, Aurora will be making their way to India to compete on LAN

With all down to the final BO3 to determine which European team will travel to India to participate in the Skyesports Championship 5.0, we saw Aurora battle TSM. The game kicked off on Nuke, where TSM started on the CT side while Aurora began on the T side. After exchanging a round each to kick off the map, the momentum shifted towards TSM as they built up an 8-1 lead. However, Aurora turned around an improbable 2v3 to swing the momentum and secure 3 rounds on their T-side.

While TSM claimed the pistol to extend their lead to 10-3, Aurora went on a 9-round spree to claim matchpoint at 12-10. With the odds stacked against them, TSM made a comeback and secured back-to-back rounds to push the game to OT. Riding on the newly found momentum, they secured 2 out of the three rounds on their T-side and then closed the game with a 16-14 scoreline.

On the second map Inferno, TSM kicked off their T-side by winning the first two rounds. However, Aurora again showed resilience on their CT-side, going on a 10-round spree to limit TSM to a 2-round T-side. Back against the rope, TSM fought back on their CT side. They built up a 7 round streak of their own, to narrow the score to 10-9. Aurora stopped TSM in their tracks, reaching matchpoint at 12-10 once again. A 1v3 from SELLTER, ensured that Aurora learnt from their mistakes on Nuke, as they won the map 13-10.

The BO3 persisted on the decider map Anceint, where TSM hit the ground running on their T-side by securing the first three rounds. While Aurora fought back, their CT side performance didn't look as convincing as on the previous maps. As a result, TSM managed to notch 5 rounds as the first half came to and end. As the second half kicked off, TSM won another pistol and found themselves leading for the first time in the game by 9-7.

Nonetheless, Aurora's offensive prowess surged during the latter stages of the second half, ultimately equalizing the score at 11-11. As the game turned into a nailbiter during the climax, Aurora held their nerves to secure the final two to get over the line, and sealed the series with a 13-11 victory.
