Wah Wah eliminates Come Mid from THE DRAFT
The final day of Day 2 took us to an elimination game between Pakistan's WahWah and Come Mid. The BO3 kicked off on Ancient, where despite coming through in the initial two rounds, WahWah fumbled the buy rounds, trailing by 5-7 on their CT side.
As the second half unfolded, WahWah started steamrolling their opponents, stringing together 6 rounds in a row to overtake Come Mid by 11-7. While Come Mid convincingly secured a 4v5 retake on the B bombsite to score their first round, they failed to capitalize on the round win. As a result, WahWah clinched the first map with a 13-8 scoreline.
WahWah continued their onslaught on the T-side to kick off Mirage. They took over their trail after losing the pistol and force buy to establish a 7-2 lead on the back of persistent B hits. Come Mid recovered at the end of the half to close the gap to 5-7.
WahWah once again looked in command to kick off their CT side, reaching match point at 12-5 while flaunting their defensive finesse. The game came to a conclusion in the very next round, as Wah Wah ended Come Mid's run by registering a 13-5 victory on Mirage.
