Bad News Kangaroos headed to Pune for Skyesports Grand Slam 2024
With a spot in the Skyesports Grand Slam 2024 LAN in Pune, India awaiting the winner, the OCE Qualifier BO5 Grand Final saw Mindfreak take on Bad News Kangaroos.
The series started on Anubis where Bad News Kangaroos breezed to a 13-2 win on Mindfreak's map pick. Bad News Kangaroos' pick of Inferno saw Mindfreak fight back with a 13-10 win. Mirage saw Bad News Kangaroos hang on for a slender 13-11 win and take a 2-1 lead in the series.
On their own pick of Nuke Bad News Kangaroos started with a dominant 9-3 lead before closing things out at 13-3 to secure the series 3-1 and win the Skyesports Grand Slam 2024 OCE Qualifier.
With Bad News Kangaroos securing their place in the main LAN event of the Skyesports Grand Slam 2024, that's one out of the four teams confirmed. The three other slots will have one team from the Indian Qualifier and two directly invited teams.
The LAN event is scheduled to take place between March 14 - March 16, 2023 in Pune and will be a double elimination bracket.
