Team India crash out of WESC Regional qualifier
After putting up strong wins in Group B against Chinese Taipei and Nepal, Team India locked in a playoffs spot in IESF's World Esports Championship 2025 Asian regional qualifier. The group stage had four groups with a minimum of three and a maximum of four teams each. The top two teams from each groups advanced to the playoffs. Team India locked horns with Team Hong Kong in the quarter-final. Team Hong Kong had narrowly made it through from Group C after taking down Sri Lanka.
Team India could not carry forward their momentum from the group stage and ended up conceding the series 0-2 to Team Hong Kong. Team India ended their IESF World Esports Championship 2025 dreams in the quarter-final of the Asian regional qualifier while Team Hong Kong advanced to the semi-final where they were sent home by Team Mongolia. Team Mongolia took down team Malaysia to win the ESSE Asian qualifier for the World Esports Championship 2025.
