The MongolZ steal victory from the jaws of defeat against Aurora
The MongolZ pulled off an incredible comeback on Mirage against Aurora in the BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 2 quarter-final to move into the semi-finals. On their own pick of Mirage, The MongolZ were staring at defeat, after being 0-11 down on a toothless T side before starting a comeback which saw them take the win in overtime.
The series started with a strong CT half, despite losing the pistol but a clean bunch of gun rounds saw them go 8-4 up and it looked like it would be an easy path to win especially after the second half pistol win. Aurora, though, fought back on their CT half, putting together a total of seven rounds and it took all 24 rounds of regulations, with The MongolZ holding on for a 13-11 win.
Other than an heroic bLitz 1v3 in the final round of the opening half, The MongolZ had absolutely nothing to show for on their T side on their pick of Mirage. They fought back though, on their CT half as they pushed it to overtime on the back of seven CT rounds and it was the bLitz and mzinho show that saw The MongolZ stick an incredible comeback to steal the win at 16-13 to close the series in two.
