BetBoom turn it around in style against BIG
The second day of Skyesports Masters 2024 kicked off with the upper bracket quarter-final between BIG and BetBoom.
BetBoom started things with the T-sided pistol on their pick of Overpass. JDC along with the AWP of syrsoN helped BIG take a two round lead at the half. BIG didn't face too much of an issue closing things out on their T side at 13-9.
BetBoom started Anubis with a 5-0 lead on their T side and KaiR0N- with his openers made sure BetBoom started with an 8-4 lead. nafany and co. ran away to an 11-4 lead after picking up the pistol and following rounds after that before BIG finally found their first T round. BIG could manage just two T rounds as BetBoom quickly tied up the series 1-1 with a 13-6 win on Anubis.
Ancient was a back and forth affair and it was BetBoom taking a 7-5 lead at the half as Magnojez stuck a full 10 second defuse in a 1v1 against tabseN on the A site in the final half of the round which made sure BIG didn't tie up the half. BetBoom turned around a 2v5 in the second half pistol which saw them extend their lead and they made the reverse sweep stick following a 13-7 win on Ancient with KaiR0N- and Magnojez topping the board on the final map with 21 and 20 kills respectively.
The win sees BetBoom move into the Upper Bracket semi-final and they will face the winner of the Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) - Gods Reign game. BIG meanwhile drop to the Lower Bracket and will face the loser of the NIP vs Gods Reign game.
