MIBR book semi-final spot, Party Astronauts stay alive
The second day of ESL Challenger Melbourne 2024 saw the home teams battle for survival as we were heading to the business end of the tournament.
It was sunday school going up against Party Astronauts in the Group A elimination match to get things underway and the North Americans smashed sunday school 13-1 on Nuke to start proceedings. sunday school managed to do one better, managing a total of 2 rounds on the second map as Party Astronauts eased to a 13-2 win on their pick of Overpass to secure an easy 2-0 and send sunday school home.

With sunday school being eliminated, Rooster were the only remaining home team and they faced MIBR in the Group B decider game. The Brazilians secured Nuke thanks to a strong T side, winning 13-8 before brushing aside Rooster 13-6 on their own pick of Vertigo with insani and brnz4n having a strong series.

The win sees MIBR book their place in the semi-final and they will take on Apeks tomorrow while Party Astronauts are back in the server shortly against Aurora to keep their campaign alive.
