The MongolZ go down to 3DMAX in Group B opener
The Group B upper bracket quarter-final between The MongolZ and 3DMAX kicked off on the latter's map pick of Anubis. The MongolZ got off to a brisk start on the T-side, securing the pistol round, to end the first half with a 7-5 lead. However, once the sides switched, it was all 3DMAX in the kill feed, as they overturned The MongolZ's lead to win the map 13-9.
The following map took us to Ancient. Despite an early 5-1 lead on the CT side for 3DMAX, the half ended up with an equal score of 6-6. While it looked like The MongolZ would run away with the map after they furthered their lead to 9-7, Lucky and Graviti stepped up to take MongolZ through the finish line with a 13-11 victory.
The MongolZ will now face KOI tomorrow in the lower bracket matchup as Asia's finest look to avoid the Last Chance Stage.
