Sources: s1mple set for come back
An HLTV report has revealed that Counter-Strike great s1mple is set to back his return to the competitive scene as part of a loan agreement to Saudi Arabian organisation Falcons, as per sources close to HLTV.
s1mple has been inactive post ESL Pro League Season 18, when he took a personal break and has only played one CS2 official since then, which was as a stand-in for Falcons itself at the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024, where Falcons lost to Metizport. s1mple ended that match with a 0.94 rating, with only Snappi having a worst rating that the Ukrainian star in that game.
A Major winner and three time Player of the Year (HLTV), s1mple will have all eyes glued on him as he returns after a year out from competitive play.
s1mple is set to replace SunPayus in the roster with Falcons' coach zonic recently stating that the team needs to make changes, after their elimination at the Fall Final. Touted as a super project, the Falcons have failed to bring in the firepower they were after and even with multiple Major winners in their team, they have failed to lift any silverware or even make playoffs, barring a top four finish at IEM Katowice 2024.
Should s1mple join the Falcons roster, their lineup will be:
-
s1mple
-
Magisk
-
Maden
-
dupreeh
-
Snappi
-
SunPayus (benched)
