Gods Reign trounce True Rippers to qualify for eXTREMESLAND 2024
The eXTREMESLAND 2024 India Open 2024 Finals between Gods Reign and True Rippers kicked off with a main event spot on the line.
The game took off on Inferno, where an early back-and-forth battle saw the scores level at 4-4. However, from that point on, it was absolute ascendancy from Gods Reign, as Ph1NNN and R2B2 took charge. The two combined for 38, taking took Gods Reign to a 13-11 victory.
The second map Nuke, chosen by True Rippers, quickly turned into a one-sided spectacle. Starting off on the T-side, True Rippers posed constant threat outside, contributing to an 8-4 lead. With scant resistance offered in the second half from Gods Reign, TR closed out the map with a dominant 13-5 win.
In classic fashion, the third map witnessed a comeback, as Gods Reign's 5-1 lead dwindled to a halftime score of 7-5. While Gods Reign secured the pistol win to extend their lead to 9-5, TR overcame the deficit to lead 10-9. However, Gods Reign ultimately put the cat and mouse chase to bed to win 13-10.
The fourth map Mirage turned into a bloodbath, with TR failing to find their footings on the T-side. On the other side, Bhavi led by example, earning a 1.91 rating to ensure a 13- 2 win for Gods Reign.
Gods Reign have confirmed their attendance in Shanghai for eXTREMESLAND 2024 that kicks off on January 15th 2025.
