SemperFi trounce IHC at eXTREMESLAND
The Group C decider match at eXTREMESLAND 2024 saw IHC go up against SemperFi in a Bo3 that saw the Australian team stun the Mongolian side to make the quarter-finals against the odds.
The Bo3 took off on Ancient, a map pick of IHC, where they started out on the CT side with an 8-4 lead. Transitioning over to the T-side, they secured the first three rounds to extend their lead to 11-4, and then closed out the map by a 13-10 margin.
The second map Mirage, saw a brutal contest, with both teams tying the scores at the halfway mark. IHC went on a 6 round streak on their T-side to reach matchpoint at 12-10, but SemperFi managed to go toe-to-toe and take the game to Overtime. After 4 rounds of OT, SemperFi concluded the game with a 22-18 win.
The final map was Nuke, where SemperFi's strong defence was able to restrict the opposition to 5 rounds on the T-side. Then with vision and shadiy leading the front, SemperFi managed to seal the deal with a 13-9 win.
