ATOX upset TYLOO to make semi-finals in Shanghai
ATOX took down TYLOO in the third quarter-final at eXTREMESLAND Asia Open 2024 in a convincing 2-0 manner to send the home team packing from the $100k event in Shanghai and progress into the top four.
The action got underway on the home team's pick of Nuke, which saw ATOX put up a stunning defensive half as kabal, doub and Zesta powered the Mongolian side to a 9-3 lead in the opening half before closing it out at 13-6 to draw first blood. kabal starred on the opening map, going 21-15 with an ADR of 109. Inferno started with ATOX continuing with the momentum as they ran away to a 5-2 lead before TYLOO's defence kept it at a two-round gap at 7-5 in ATOX's favour. It was the double AWP set up of MiQ and AccuracyTG which eventually got ATOX home as the shut down TYLOO's comeback chances at 13-8 to lock in a huge 2-0 series win.
With ATOX locking in a semi-final spot, three out of the four spots have been locked in and the final semi-final spot will be decided from the JiJieHao - SemperFi quarter-final.
