The MongolZ kick off their EPL S21 campaign with a win over GamerLegion
The MongolZ started their ESL Pro League Season 21 campaign with a strong win over GamerLegion, taking down ztr's boys 2-0 in their Stage 2 opening game.
GamerLegion's pick of Inferno saw The MongolZ race away to a 6-0 start on their CT half before a late-comeback on their T side saw GamerLegion keep it at a two-round gap. A back-and-forth start to the second half saw GamerLegion keep themselves alive before the Asian team closed it out with four straight T rounds with a 910 1v3 on the B site wrapping up a 13-9 win.
Mirage saw The MongolZ start their pick with a four round lead on their T side before a clean pistol saw them quickly hit double digits. A couple of impactful rounds from PR saw GamerLegion fight back and held on against three match points to push Mirage to overtime although they almost fumbled a 1v4 against Senzu in the final round of regulation. After a sloppy opening round in overtime, The MongolZ finally found rhythm to close out Mirage 16-14 to take the series 2-0.
