Lynn Vision set to make their 2nd Major appearance at BLAST.tv Austin 2025 Major

LYNN VISION SECURE AUSTIN MAJOR SLOT

TYLOO concede 1-2 series; head down to consolidation final

The upper-final of the China MRQ leading up to the BLAST.tv Austin 2025 Major saw Lynn Vision and TYLOO faceoff for a Major slot. Lynn Vision were coming off of a 2-0 win against Rare Atom and TYLOO were handed a free pass in the opening round as one of their opponent players had registered with an account that was banned on the B5 platform, where the match was held.

The first map was Nuke, picked by Lynn Vision. A dramatic pistol round where Jee nearly clutched up a 1v4, went in favor of Lynn Vision and they rode the momentum to string up a couple of rounds after but TYLOO dominated in the gun rounds, ending up with a slight 7-5 advantage at halftime.

After trading the initial few rounds, Lynn Vision strung up six rounds in a row to close out Nuke 13-10, as Jee's 1.57 rating - 103 ADR CT-side showing was not enough to pull TYLOO across the line. Lynn Vision started Inferno with a pistol round win on the CT-side but a couple of entries from JamYoung and Moseyuh stole the anti-eco. TYLOO were 7-2 up with a chance to lock Lynn Vision out of the map in the first half.

z4kr's AWP multi-frag rounds followed by an AK quad-kill round from Starry helped Lynn Vision salvage a 5-7 half still slightly in TYLOO's favor. TYLOO went absolutely ballistic in the second half, stringing five rounds in a row straight out the gate to reach match point without dropping a single CT-side round at 12-5.

z4kr landed 63 frags across the series for Lynn Vision

z4kr and C4LLM3SU3 put up a couple of multi-frag rounds which seemed harmless at the time for TYLOO but at 8-12, a Starry double entry sequence fetched Lynn Vision their fourth round in a row and bankrupted TYLOO. Lynn Vision were right on their tail at 11-12 as TYLOO's economy recovered but a flawless A-hit from Lynn Vision pushed the series into overtime as TYLOO had fumbled their 12-5 lead.

Round for round trades sent the game into a second overtime where JamYoung's back to back multi-frag sequences sent TYLOO up 17-15, eventually giving them a three round buffer to close out Inferno at 18-15. A flawless second overtime saw TYLOO close out Inferno 19-15, pushing the series into the decider.

The decider was played out on Train where TYLOO got off to a shaky start on the CT-side but managed to recover and split the first half 6-6. TYLOO fumbled a 4 on 2 post-plant on their T-side and Lynn Vision managed to secure the pistol, convert the anti-eco and build up a 5-0 lead on the CT-side. Lynn Vision closed out Train 13-8, confirming their BLAST.tv Austin 2025 Major slot.

This is Lynn Vision's second Major appearance with their Major debut coming last year at Counter-Strike 2's first ever Major- the PGL Copenhagen 2024 Major. TYLOO will get a second shot at a Major slot in their consolidation final against Rare Atom. Thanks to Rare Atom's position in the VRS, the Chinese MRQ gets two Major slots.
