FlyQuest book Austin 2025 Major slot
The grand-final of the Oceania MRQ leading up to the BLAST.tv Austin 2025 Major saw a rematch between FlyQuest and SemperFi. Lead by FlyQuest's former captain, SemperFi got crushed in the upper-final but a 2-0 win against ex-TALON set them up for a rematch in the grand-final with a Major slot on the line.
The first map took us to Inferno where SemperFi gave FlyQuest a run for their money in the first half, ending it at an even 6-6 but the trio of regali, Vexite and Liazz destroyed SemperFi in the second half. A 7-1 run on the CT-side, netted FlyQuest a comfortable 13-7 win on Inferno. regali, Vexite and Liazz put up ADRs in excess of 100 with regali holding a 1.99 CT-side rating.
SemperFi had to put up a win on their map pick of Mirage just to stay alive in the series. The map started well for SemperFi with a pistol round win on the T-side but FlyQuest stole the anti-eco and ran away with the half. A 119 ADR, 1.72 rating CT-side showing from nettik, fetched FlyQuest a solid 9-3 lead in the first half.
SemperFi started with pistol and anti-eco wins in the second half but were denied the bonus and they also conceded the initial gun round, rolling a red carpet to Austin for FlyQuest. A convincing 13-5 win on Mirage closed the series in favor of FlyQuest as the Aussies booked their BLAST.tv Austin 2025 Major slot, wrapping up the Oceania MRQ.
