s1mple returns to pro play to replace broky at FaZe

CS legend returns to the server

Following their announcement of benching their AWPer broky earlier in the day, FaZe have revealed that they have signed Counter-Strike legend s1mple on a loan agreement, with the Ukrainian set to stand in for FaZe at the upcoming IEM Dallas 2025 and the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025.

After winning everything there is to be won in CS:GO, s1mple took a break towards the very end of CS:GO as the game moved to CS2. After benching himself on Natus Vincere (NAVI), s1mple has not signed for any team since, having only made to stand-in appearances for Falcons at the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024 and then again towards the end of 2024 leading into the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 EU RMR, which Falcons failed to get out of.

s1mple has a 1.04 rating from his limited game time in CS2 and hasn't played a professional game since November 2024. By joining FaZe, he will reunite with his former Liquid teammate, EliGE as well, both of whom were together back in 2016. s1mple will be making his FaZe debut at the upcoming IEM Dallas 2025, which kicks off on May 19, 2025.

With s1mple joining FaZe on loan, the FaZe lineup is:

  • s1mple

  • rain

  • frozen

  • United States EliGE

  • Denmark karrigan

  • NEO (Coach)

  • broky (benched)
