ESL adds third place deciders beginning with ESL Pro League Season 22

ESL has announced via a post on X that they will be adding third-place decider matches to their circuit, starting with ESL Pro League Season 22. Third place deciders have been a fairly well received concept, that has been a part of many PGL events this year.

ESL will be implementing it from ESL Pro League Season 22, that kicks off on October 3rd. IEM Chengdu 2025, and IEM Krakow 2026 will also feature Bo3 third place decider matches. These matches will be crucial for extra prize money as well as VRS points.
