NESC 2025: CS2 registrations open

ESFI announce three titles for NESC 2025

Through a post on X, Esports Federation of India has announced the titles that will be a part of the National Esports Championships (NESC) 2025. These NESC events serve as regional qualifiers towards the World Esports Championship 2025. For 2025 a total of 136 nations will take part in the circuit in what the International Esports Federation (IESF) terms as a "record-breaking level of participation".

Counter-Strike has been announced as one of the esports titles for NESC 2025 alongside it's Valve counterpart Dota2. eFootball rounds off the list of titles but with it's removal from the circuit, 2024's winner gets a direct slot to WEC 2025. The registrations for the Counter-Strike 2 event is currently open and the online qualifiers begin on 22 May 2025, making the timeline something like this:

Registrations

09/05/2025 - 19/05/2025

Verification

20/05/2025 & 21/05/2025

Online qualifiers

22/05/2025 onwards

The format of these online qualifiers will likely remain the same as last year, hosting a double-elimination bracket with only the qualification matches running a bo3 setting. Last year's NESC circuit ran a female CS2 event as well which has not been announced yet for 2025.
