Aurora eliminates The MongolZ from PGL Astana 2025
The MongolZ have been eliminated from PGL Astana 2025 after a 0-2 loss to Aurora in the Quarter-Finals. The loss marks a revenge for Aurora for the Quarter-Finals at IEM Katowice 2025, where it was the Mongolians coming out on top.
The series opener was Mirage, where Aurora started with a stomp on the T-side, securing an early 6-0 lead. It was Wicadia, w0xic, and XANTARES doing the bulk of the lifting, taking Aurora to an 8-4 halftime score. In the second half, The MongolZ could only secure one round, losing the game by a 5-13 scoreline.
The second map was Anubis, where The MongolZ's 3-0 start was overturned early by Aurora into a 3-5 deficit. The first half ended with an even scoreline of 6-6. In the second half, however, it was once again Aurora kicking into a higher gear, sealing the deal with a 16-14 win.
