Spirit denies HooXi a fairytale debut event with Astralis
HooXi's fairytale run with Astralis in his first-ever tournament for the Danish team came to a crushing end as Spirit took down Astralis 3-1 to win PGL Astana 2025 with Spirit picking up their second trophy of the year.
Dust2, Spirit's pick kicked off the Grand Final which was a non-starter for the Danes as donk, chopper and sh1ro powered Spirit to a dominating 13-5 win, going nearly flawless on their T side. Astralis' pick of Spirit saw the Danes finally find some form, kicking off with a tied opening half and it looked like Astralis were going to tie up the series before a 1v3 from chopper and a 1v5 from donk closed Nuke at 13-10 in favour of Spirit.

Mirage was a repeat of Dust2 as Astralis' 10-round streak saw them go from 2-5 to pick up a stunning 13-5 win with their captain HooXi leading from the front. Train saw late momentum from Astralis go 8-4 up on their T side but sh1ro and late impact from donk saw Spirit hit map and match point. It took an ace from jabbi to push it into overtime but Spirit had been given enough runaway to get going as they closed it at 16-13 to seal the series 3-1.

For Astralis, who had brought in HooXi right before the event, Spirit remains the only team to have beat them as the Danes made a remarkable run to the Grand Final, something which they will hope to build on.
