FaZe disappoint despite s1mple heroics to go down to Liquid
It wasn't the return s1mple was looking for as FaZe went down 0-2 to Liquid in the IEM Dallas 2025 opener. s1mple, though, personally showed flashes of brilliance and finished as the top fragger for FaZe on both maps.
Liquid's pick of Ancient saw FaZe's two substitutes, s1mple and skullz convert a 2v2 to pick up the CT pistol but despite s1mple having a couple of impactful rounds, the rest of FaZe didn't turn up as Liquid took an 8-4 lead. A crucial karrigan 1v2 in the force buy after losing the second pistol brought FaZe back into the game on their T side but it was Liquid holding on for a 13-10 with s1mple finishing on the top of the scoreboard on his FaZe debut map with 17 kills.

FaZe's pick of Inferno saw them start in similar manner to Ancient as they picked up the pistol and converted but that was all as it was a dominating 9-3 half from Liquid. Impact from s1mple including crucial clutches kept FaZe in the game but it was Liquid holding on for another 13-10 win with s1mple top fragging for FaZe once again.
The loss has dropped FaZe to the lower bracket where they will face the loser of the MOUZ-BC. Game match.
