
Hong Kong set to host S-tier BLAST event in November
BLAST has announced more details on the second iteration of Rivals. The event is set to take place in Hong Kong in November 2025, marking the biggest esports event in Hong Kong till date. The event has reportedly secured an "M" mark designation by the Major Sports Events Committee under the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).
"The 'M' Mark is awarded only to major sporting events that significantly enhance Hong Kong’s international image as a premier destination for sports and entertainment.", says BLAST in their blogpost. The event begins on 12th November 2025 and concludes at the Asia World-Arena in Chek Lap Kok.
The invites for BLAST Rivals Season 2 goes out on 6th October 2025. Four invites are handed out based on Global VRS positions and four teams can secure wildcard invites from Europe, North America, South America and Asia. The event starts with a GSL bo3 and transitions into a single-elimination bracket for the playoffs. The grand-final takes a bo3 setting.
