Only a lucky few walk away with diamond coins

Their data shows that a shocking 0.01% were able to secure a diamond coin the lowest in comparison to the previous five Majors. Most of the participants ended up with silver coins (63.65%). Leetify's data comes from ~27,000 public steam inventories as of June 2025.

The BLAST.tv Austin 2025 Major was highly unpredictable. While Vitality came in as the favorites to win the event, things slowly changed over the course of the initial three Swiss system iterations. Stages 1,2 and 3 saw upset after upset with underdog teams powering their way into the next stage. After a somewhat dicey Stage 1, things quickly amped up in Stage 2.

The reunited NiKo-m0NESY duo were coming in, looking to get the better of Vitality this time and were the most popular 3-0 pick in this stage alongside FaZe who had never missed a Counter-Strike 2 Major grand-final up until this point. Lynn Vision, a popular 0-3 pick, sent Falcons down into the 0-2 pool and FaZe with s1mple were toppled by Legacy. Likewise across all three stages, 3-0 picks were crashing out of the Major while 0-3 picks were plowing through.

Nevertheless, Vitality did hold up their status as the favorites and won the BLAST.tv Austin 2025 Major but the uncertainty was surreal right up until the first map of the grand-final where The MongolZ took down Vitality on Mirage, hinting at an upset at one of the biggest stages of the year. Vitality recovered and claimed the Major trophy, marking a near-flawless first season in 2025.
