CrackShot launches Asia Pro League for Tournament breaks

APL aims to improve the CS ecosystem of the region

Indian professional play, Aastha "Crackshot' Nangia, who represented the nation at IESF WEC 2023 and 2024, has announced the launch of Asia Pro League (APL) for Asian teams.

APL will be a non-profit, Invite-only league, that will run on weekends where there are no official games. For each game, the league will chose two captains with the highest rank on the leaderboard, and have them select their team from the remaining 8 players, followed by the veto.

The top-performers will be awarded with prizes and perks. The dates and prize pool for the league will be declared after the completion of the RMR.

We know how much everyone here loves the weekend FPL queues in the Middle East, Europe, and North America. That level of practice and exposure just doesn't exist in our region yet so we are putting one together ourselves during tournament downtime.

Asia Pro League is a home-grown, non-profit weekend hub where pros and serious grinders can match up, sharpen their skills and learn from each other. We're aiming to bring about 150 of the best and most dedicated players together during downtimes, just to play good Counter-Strike and build some camaraderie.

This event's about uniting our region's talent. This way if you are in a team or a serious grinder or players from different countries, you can get to know other players in the region and compete against the them! There will be prize pool and some perks for the top performers.

We know there are a lot of challenges players face in the region regarding remunerations, transparency, and quality of competiton. We want to bridge that gap. Hopefully these weekend events will grow into something better where we can grow from a non-profit to monetising our efforts so we can give more to the community and make playing CS2 more sustainable as well as making it a better environment for the players in the region so they can thrive.

Let's make something great together for Asian CS2.
