Esports World Cup 2025 CS2: Preview
The Esports World Cup is set to kick off today with a single-elimination round, where 16 teams will fight for a prize pool of $1.25 million. The action will kick off with the round of 16 games on August 20 and August 21, 2025 before the quarter-finals take place on August 21 and August 22, 2025. The semi-finals are scheduled for August 23, 2025 with the Grand Final and 3rd place decider rounding out the tournament on August 24, 2025.
The matches kick off at 7:45 PM IST today, and includes some interesting face-offs to look forward to. Talking about Asian teams taking part, we have TYLOO taking on Astralis on the opening day at 7:45 PM, and The MongolZ taking on GamerLegion at 4:30 PM on the second day. This is the second time TYLOO will be facing Astralis, after beating them to win FISSURE Playground 1.
The tournament, taking place as a LAN event in Riyadh, will run till 24th August 2025, featuring third-place decider game and a Bo5 Grand Final.
