WahWah wins CTRL POINT Season 1
WahWah beat PokemoN's Legion to win CTRL POINT Season 1, winning the first premier studio CS2 LAN event which was held in Karachi, Pakistan. The Grand Final was a three-map thriller which went down to the wire with BulleT, insmutje and sadbutrue making sure WahWah got over the line. The win sees WahWah win the PKR 500,000 event.
The final kicked off on WahWah's pick of Dust2 with WahWah put up a string of four late rounds to steal a two round lead on their T side. Despite taking the pistol and conversion WahWah were unable to convert as Legion kept it clean once they brought out the guns on the T side with PokemoN and Bloody powering Legion to a 13-9 win to draw first blood in the series. Inferno saw WahWah take early control on their CT half before SOULM8 and hf helped Legion tie up the half at 6-6. Bloody and SultaaN made sure Legion took the lead after a clean pistol and it was sadbutrue denying PokemoN a 1v2 to close out a tense half at 13-10 to tie up the series.
The decider headed to Nuke saw PokemoN kick things off with a triple on the pistol for Legion and it was hf's AWP making it a 9 round CT half. An OKay quad kill handed WahWah a big pistol which saw them go on a seven-round win streak to take the lead at 10-9. SultaaN and hd pulled Legion to overtime. hf continued to dominate as Legion managed two on their T side but WahWah closed it at 16-14 on the back of two back-to-back B hits to win the final 2-1.
