THE MONGOLZ CLAIM #1 IN HLTV WORLD RANKINGS
The MongolZ continue their meteoric rise and add yet another page to their rapidly growing records book. The pride of Asian Counter-Strike, The MongolZ are now #1 in HLTV's world rankings, becoming the first ever team to top a Counter-Strike global rankings form. After nearly winning the BLAST.tv Austin 2025 Major, The MongolZ returned with vengeance, one-upping their Major showing. After the player break, The MongolZ have put up grand-final appearances in every single event they have attended except IEM Cologne.
The Asian powerhouse now hold a 16 points lead over Vitality who have won seven S-tier events in a row this year, including the BLAST.tv Austin 2025 Major. They have a 296 points lead over MOUZ, 319 points lead over Spirit and 396 points lead over FURIA, who are all within the global top five. The MongolZ even added their first S-tier trophy to their cabinet at Esports World Cup 2025. While The MongolZ gained just two points in between updates, Vitality lost a hefty 30 points in the form sub-ranking, sending apEX's men down to #2.
The MongolZ started turning heads when they cleared flawless group stages at the Perfect World Shanghai 2024 Major and ever since, the Mongolian side has taken down immovable opponents, quickly becoming one of the most feared teams on the global Counter-Strike stage. In 2025 alone, The MongolZ have made eight playoffs appearances at S-tier events.
The only other change in the top ten is MOUZ overtaking Spirit to enter the global top three. FaZe, Liquid topple further down as 3DMAX and Astralis inch closer towards the top ten at #11 and #12. The Asian side of things remain stagnant within the top 10.
