FACEIT's nocries verdict is out

FACEIT hands nocries a clean chit

A few days after nocries finished his FACEIT HQ visit, FACEIT has now announced their verdict on the situation. Following concerns raised by high profile individuals and organizations regarding a relatively new profile climbing all the way to the top of North American FACEIT, FACEIT invited nocries to their HQ in New York for an integrity check. FACEIT claims to have done this in three phases starting with an initial review, followed by a background check and then concluding with supervising his gameplay on LAN.

In their initial review, FACEIT found no signs of multi-accounting, smurfing or win-trading and FACEIT's anti-cheat also did not detect any suspicious processes, further clearing him in this initial malpractice check. From FACEIT's background check of nocries, they revealed the following information:

  • FACEIT account created on 29th January 2022.

  • Russian passport matches with FACEIT's verification records.

  • Buryatia background with Mongolian heritage. (The Buryats are known to be a Mongolian ethnic group native to Southern Siberia.)

  • Logged over 10,000 hours in Counter-Strike across different accounts shared by family and friends.

  • IP Changes align with documented travel.

  • Verified activity gaps due to relocation.

In his supervised gameplay, FACEIT mentions that nocries replicated his online showings with the natural amount of deviation. His supervised gameplay came on hardware provided on FACEIT's anti-cheat team. nocries was also handed out his first ever FPL invite on a trial basis and the youngster top fragged in his FPL debut.

The review found no breach of FACEIT’s competitive integrity policies. During the supervised sessions at our New York office, he received his first‑ever FPL invite on a trial basis, which we have now converted into an indefinite invite so he can continue competing in a higher‑skilled environment. In the interview he said his dream is to join a professional team and compete at LAN events, and we look forward to seeing where his journey leads and wish him the best.

Concluding their blog post, FACEIT announced their plan to introduce a new validation protocol similar to this one for high ranked players in FACEIT matchmaking, leagues and official tournaments to "ensure transparency and consistency for similar cases in the future."
