TYLOO falls to FaZe; ends CAC 2025 run in lower bracket
In Group B's lower semi-final, TYLOO the only remaining Asian team at CS Asia Championships 2025 took on FaZe. The series started on FaZe's pick, Nuke. TYLOO struggled to get going on the CT-side, conceding an early 1-5 deficit but Mercury and JamYoung kept the team afloat salvaging a 4-8 half heavily favoring FaZe. FaZe won the pistol round in the second half but TYLOO stole the anti-eco and quickly closed the gap.
Mercury delivered a 12-6 showing on the T-side of Nuke at an ADR of 122 and a T-side rating of 1.88 as TYLOO strung up nine rounds in a row to close Nuke 13-9 off of a near flawless T-side. The narrative almost repeated on Inferno with TYLOO stealing the second half's anti-eco after conceding the pistol. FaZe were up 9-3 at halftime and nipped TYLOO's comeback attempt in the bud to secure Inferno 13-7 and level the series at 1-1. broky finished the map with 20 frags to his name and a rating of 2.00.
The decider took us to Mirage where TYLOO started on the CT-side and got off to a 5-0 start as Mercury hit red hot form early in the half. The Chinese let the lead slip as FaZe closed the gap and salvaged a 5-7 half. A frozen masterclass on the CT-side saw FaZe steal the lead from TYLOO at 11-7, starting the second half with a six rounds streak. TYLOO managed to secure just a single round as FaZe closed Mirage 13-5 and wrapped the series 2-1. The trio of frozen, Twistzz and broky posted ADRs in excess of 120 in the second half.
With this loss, TYLOO end their CS Asia Championships 2025 run and no other Asian teams are left in the tournament to contest for a playoffs spot. FaZe will take on FUT in the lower-final.
