Arise avoid Frag Theory upset to make AMD GameOn 2025 final
After getting blown away on their map pick, Bhavi's Arise bounced back to reverse sweep Frag Theory and move into the final of the the AMD GameOn 2025. A 2-1 win over Frag Theory in the second semi-final sees Arise set up a date in the final with f1redup and DEFAULTER's Wicked Gaming, as two of the most stacked Indian squads take on each other.
After a lengthy delay, Train got the second semi-final going with Frag Theory picking up the CT pistol. After a 7-0 start from a clean defensive hold from Frag Theory before Benzene finally found Arise a double opener to get his team on the board. Arise though, weren't able to build on that as Frag Theory shut them down with ease to take a 10-2 lead at the break. The second half pistol and conversion was all that Arise managed on their CT side but as soon as Frag Theory brought out the guns, PaiNNNN ran through the defences to see Frag Theory ease to a 13-4 win. PaiNNNN top fragged with 25 kills while Br0keNxD was close behind with 21, which rounded out a dominant performance from the Frag Theory boys to get the series started.
reV3nnnn who had a horror show on Train, found early impact on Frag Theory's pick of Overpass with Arise taking a much-need CT pistol to get the second map underway. EmbeR denied Br0keNxD a heroic 1v3 attempt to make sure Arise locked in the first gun round. After seven in a row from Arise, a B hit from Frag Theory got them on the board but that was all as aggressiveness from reV3nnnn and Benzene saw Arise start Overpass with 11 CT rounds. PaiNNNN denied Benzene a 1v3 to hand Frag Theory the second pistol and Elementix came in with a big 1v2 against the force buy on the B site to see Frag Theory manage to put up a couple of CT rounds. After bringing it down to a two-round game, it was a Tec-9 B hit with a big reV3nnnn clutch seeing Arise hold on for a 13-10 win.
Arise started the decider on Ancient with the CT pistol again and after four in a row, it took a B hit to get Frag Theory on the board. A PaiNNNN clutch on the B site and an upgraded pistol round steal was all that Frag Theory could manage on the T side as Arise ended their CT half with 9 defensive rounds. The T side pistol for Arise was the final nail in the coffin as a much needed clean T side saw Arise close Ancient at 13-3 to reverse sweep the series 2-1.
