
Vitality hammers Lynn Vision
After going down to MOUZ in Group B's upper-final, Vitality squared up against the home team, Lynn Vision in the lower bracket. The Chinese side was no match for the current World #1 as Vitality started the series with a flawless CT-side on Dust2, putting up a 12-0 to secure match point in the first half itself. Pistol and anti-eco wins saw Lynn Vision avoid a 0-13, nevertheless Vitality instantly closed the map at 13-2, going 1-0 up in the series.
flameZ held a swing of +18.77% in the first half with a CT-side rating of 2.91. Four of Vitality's players crossed the 1.45 rating mark on their CT-side and in stark contrast, none of Lynn Vision's individuals managed to hit double figures in the first half. The second map took us to Vitality's pick, Nuke. Vitality's strategic depth on the T-side of Nuke was too much to decrypt for Lynn Vision especially with ropz on song, catching crucial timings round after round.
Vitality scored a dominant 10-2 T-side on Nuke. While Lynn Vision secured pistol, anti-eco and bonus conversions in the second half, briefly trying to close the gap, Vitality stood strong and fended off any comeback attempts, closing Nuke 13-5 and wrapping the series 2-0, sending the home team crashing out of IEM Chengdu 2025 in Group B's lower semi-final. apEX and co. will take on G2 in the lower-final, contesting for a quarter-final spot.
