Counter-Strike 2 and ZywOo nominated at The Game Awards 2025

The Game himself is nominated

The nomination for the Game Awards 2025 have been revealed and the Counter-Strike 2 community is once again in the mix. Counter-Strike 2 itself has a nomination in the Best Esports Game while Vitality's talisman ZywOo has also netted himself a nomination. Hosted and produced by journalist Geoff Keighley, The Game Awards have been handing out silverware to the very best in the video game community since 2014. The Game Awards 2025 will take place on December 11, 2025 with Keighley set to host again and it will be held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

Counter-Strike 2 has been nominated in the Best Esports Game category and will be up against DOTA 2, VALORANT, League of Legends (LoL) and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Not only has Counter-Strike 2 been nominated but also the game's Chosen One, ZywOo. The French AWP-er has been nominated in the Best Esports Athlete and Vitality's star will be up against LoL star Chovy, VALORANT players brawk and f0rsakeN, Street Fighter 6 champion Kakeru and Street Figher 6 star MenaRD.

Counter-Strike, Aleksib and ZywOo were both nominated in the same categories last year as well at the Game Awards 2024 but League of Legends and Faker won in their respective categories. Fans can sign up on the Game Awards website and vote for their favourite players and games.
