Hapless Rare Atom brushed aside by Legacy
After a narrow loss in their opening game, Rare Atom were blown away by Legacy in their 0-1 game at the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025. A big loss for Rare Atom now sees the Chinese team drop to the dreaded 0-2 bracket and are one BO3 loss away from elimination.
A mid to B hit saw Rare Atom start Dust2 with the T pistol and after a couple of clean conversions, the Chinese team were 3-0 up quickly. Legacy though, wasted no time in getting on the board as soon as they brought out the guns with a solid A hold led by lux and it was all Legacy following that. After six in a row from Legacy, it was another hit on the B site that saw Rare Atom get their fourth round. Four was all Rare Atom could manage on their T side as one gun round on their T side was all the Chinese team could manage after the first three.
A brawl at Long ended with Dumau denying ChildKing a 1v2 to see Legacy even the pistols on Dust2. Rare Atom came close in a close force with one Scout and a Deagle that came down to n1ssim having to deny ChildKing another 1v2 and that was the final nail in the coffin for the Chinese team as Legacy wrapped it up quick with a 13-6 win and get their first win at Budapest on the board.
