
The MongolZ drop out of top 5 in world rankings
The latest HLTV rankings update sees The MongolZ drop out of the top 5 in the world rankings after a disappointing end to the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 campaign, where they were comprehensively beaten by Vitality in the quarter-finals. Along with The MongolZ, Indian team Arise also dropped down a couple of places in the regional rankings - Asia.
In the Regional rankings - Asia, the two Indian teams, Wicked Gaming and Arise had mixed fortunes. While Wicked moved up for places to #20, Arise dropped two places to #25. Wicked Gaming holds a world rankings of #202 in the HLTV Rankings, highest amongst the Indian teams while Arise's HLTV world ranking is #225. Arise, though, remain the only Indian team in the VRS rankings with a global ranking of #275.
Despite dropping two places, The MongolZ remain at the top of the Asian rankings with Lynn Vision overtaking TYLOO for second place. TYLOO holds third place while The Huns have made a big jump, moving up eight places to #4. Rare Atom rounds out the top five in the Asian rankings.
Meanwhile, fresh off their second Major title win of the year, the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 champions, Vitality have moved back to #1 in the HLTV world rankings, de-throning FURIA while FaZe's second place finish sees them move up six places to #6. Lynn Vision have also moved up a place in the global rankings and now site at #25 ahead of the likes of Ninjas in Pyjamas, fnatic and FlyQuest etc.
